PORONG – The first place to visit during our weekend holiday in Surabaya is the location of ‘Lumpur Lapindo’, the urban place that turned into the 16 are of mud, caused by a drill disaster of one big company in Indonesia. That was happened in 2006 and until today the mud is still erupted.

Unfortunately, this place is guarded by unofficial men. They admitted as the victim of that catastrophic mud and collect money from visitors. From parking lot, the entry gate until the trip to the nearest centre of the eruption, all must be paid. I must pay Rp 100.000 for me and my parents in law.

Well, this is Indonesia. When the government can’t do anything about it, so let the people do with their own way.
